My Lil Blondie

I entered Hailey into a childrens modeling contest. It is up to the public so PLEASE VOTE for her. I think yo might be able to vote everyday, but I'm not sure. It only takes one click and she is so super cute, so why not?!
If she is in the top 25 she can move on, and go to Universal Studios in April.

Peepin' on a Sista

We went to a Utes Hockey game last night, and it was pretty fun! We got a huge bag of kettle corn for free, and we bought 7 pucks so Matt could throw them out on the ice to try to win us a $100.00 gas card to Maverick....he didn't win, but we had a blast. At the very end I sent Brooklyn to take Hailey to the restroom. She came running out with a very bloody elbow, and it was cut pretty deep. I for one think that going green sucks for the very reason that there were only air blowers in the bathroom, and no paper towels. I ran to the consession stand, and got a huge stack of napkins, but I ended up having to go back for another stack because the bleeding was so bad.
Matt dropped Brooklyn and I off at the Hospital, and they put 5 stitches in her elbow. She was so brave!
So I didn't get the REAL story until the end of the night.  So when Hailey was using the bathroom, Brooklyn stood on the toilet and was peeking over the edge at Hailey laughing. Hailey knew Brooklyn was in the stall but was looking underneath wondering where she went. That's when Brooklyn slipped and hit her elbow on the latch that locks the stall door. The whole night I couldn't figure out why she was standing on the toilet, and now I know.
It's so funny because I have done that very same thing when I was a younger, minus the falling and getting stitches.
I have had my share of stitches but I think I'll save that for another post :).

DARFUR

A couple of weeks ago I decided to order netflix. When Matt found out he was so excited! So at night Matt will disappear into our bedroom with the laptop and watch movies until he falls asleep. I haven't been able to get to sleep at a decent time because I have been job searching for Matt.......the end is drawing near!
So, the other night I walked in the bedroom, and a documentary was playing on netflix. It was about the people in Sudan *Africa*. What I saw was very disturbing, but I couldn't stop watching. The government and militia were attacking large villages. They would rape the women to shame them, casterate the men, burn their villages to the ground then slaughter everyone that they could.  The documentary I watched showed what it was really like, which is a lot worse than the youtube video.
It just made me appreciate more than ever that I live in a very safe place. Even if I lived in a high crime area it would be safer than where these people were. It is still going on today! It seemed like how I imagined the end of the world to be like. It would feel horrible to wonder when your village would be next to be attacked.

 BEWARE IT'S VERY GRAPHIC

Ain't So Lucky

What happens when I ignore the children and talk on the phone:

  • Jocelyn had gotten into the spice cupboard and thrown all the spices on the floor. One thing that she didn't manage to throw on the floor was the food coloring. That was too intriging I guess, because she squirted every color out onto the white counter until they were completely emptied out. Now it looks like Rainbow Bright lives here and not us. I just bleached the counters a couple of days ago.....ugh!

  • Hailey made a HUGE Lucky Charm mess so now I swear I won't ever buy them again! This isn't the first time either! I so done with you Lucky Charms......you're not so lucky anymore are ya?!!!

Horses, Soccer, Flute!

This post is all about Jocelyn, my 3 year old daughter.
First of all I have NEVER had any of my kids tell me they hate me, even at their maddest moments, until Jocelyn came along that is. She is the name calling QUEEN! She says "I hate you idiot" at least 8 times a day. I started putting vinegar on her tongue, but started to think that was a little too mean. Matt started using lemon juice and that seems to do the trick and it's not so disgusting. She's doing better now that we threaten her with lemon juice.

She gets so obsessed with things! Right now she has 3 major obsessions. Jumping, swimming, and Dan's the grocery store.

Jumping:
She'll hold our hands and just jump up and down on the ground, and say "Dump-a-dump-a-dump-a-dump".
Matt will let her jump on the bed and "Dump". She wants to do it all day long so it gets really annoying.

Swimming:
She wants to wear her swimming suit, or as she would call it, "swimming soup" all day long. I have to hide the dang thing, and she still finds it. She wants to wear swim diapers instead of her regular ones, and we all know that doesn't work well.

Dan's:
This girl will take a nap just to go to Dan's to ride in their car carts, and to get one of their free balloons.
I will hear all day, "Car cart, and balloon, car cart and balloon, car cart and balloon. So I'll tell her to take a nap, and when she wakes up we'll go get one. She falls right asleep, and the minute she wakes up she's putting on her shoes to go.

She really likes to have her window rolled down when we are in the Expedition. I can't allow it to be rolled down any longer. A couple of weeks ago we went swimming at Fairmont. She threw a huge peice of paper out of the window. A week ago the lady at Whole Foods gave Hailey and Jocelyn plastic pops from some packaging. On the way home she threw it out the window. It was a huge peice too! Last night we went on a little ride, and when we came home we couldn't find her other NEW shoe. This morning I asked her where it was, and she told me she threw it out the window. Soooooo annoying!!!!! Sorry Joce, no more windows down for you!

Things she has been obsessed with in the past, but still likes are:

  • Harry Potter
  • Chewing on everything from plastic to metal
  • Lucky Charms
  • Cream cheese
  • Swoop, the Utes mascot

Jocelyn must have heard Matt and I talking about buying her a mini trampoline, because last night she came up to use and said, "BUY ME A TRAMPOLINE!!!". An hour later she said, "You should get me a trampoline". She woke up this morning asking for a trampoline. So if any of you want to sell me your mini trampoline that would be sweet!

I love that girl! Even though her requests are way too repetitive she is so hilarious! She makes me laugh everyday!

JOCELYN + CREAM CHEESE = HAPPINESS

Jocelyn is so in love with cream cheese that she could eat a whole brick of it with no problem. I usually have to hide it in the back of the fridge, and even then she can still find it! She loves to eat bagels with an inch thick of cream cheese loaded onto it. Then she eats it off the top, and wants seconds. She's crazy!

So this morning Jocelyn came into our bed to cuddle with Matt. She turned to him and said, "Your breathe smells like.." then paused. Matt said, "POO?". Then it finally came to Jocelyn. "NO, your breathe smells like cream cheese". Lucky Matt! I thought everyones smelled bad in the morning.
Man that girl needs some therapy for her cream cheese addiction.
