Tootsie Footsies

Jocelyn was actually walking around on these, and it looked like the tippy toe ballerina shoes. They are the Tootsie Roll containers that come with Tootsies in them, then you can save change in them. Jocey had other plans for hers. She was walking around like she was going to be the first Tootsie Footsie Ballerina.

About a year ago the clouds were hanging low, so low that I had a bright idea. My idea was to pack the kids up in the car and drive up the mountain, so we could go up into the clouds. It was just up the road since we were at my mom's and she already lives in the perty mountains. So the kids and I headed off into the clouds. We were just going for a short drive, so the kids didn't need any shoes, right? Wrong. The paved road suddenly turned into the muddiest dirt road ever, and it started raining really hard. I thought "I probably should turn around". So that's what I did, and we got stuck. Not only did we get stuck, the back wheels began to sink. We were on a desolate road that NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY goes on. I began to pray really hard, and at that very moment I saw a red truck coming towards us. I got out and flagged him down, and he gave us all a ride to my mom's house. The next day Clarence helped me tow it out of the mud.

So now we don't leave the house without shoes and we won't go drive on muddy roads in the boonies.

Blogging Marathon

So I haven't posted anything for a long time............that is until today. I guess I am on a BLOGGING MARATHON. Today Jocelyn fell asleep at dinner with her food in her lap, and her fork in her hand. I thought it was so PRECIOUS!

Pinecone Christmas Trees

We LOVE Christmas!!!!!!

Brooklyn, Jocelyn, London and Hailey amazed that they
created such fun Christmas decorations.
A few weeks ago we went outside and gathered as many pinecones as we could find that had fallen on the ground. I bought some small terra cotta pots, and they painted them red, covered them with glitter and turned them upside down. Then they painted their pinecones green and covered them in sparkling glitter. After they dried I glue gunned the pinecones to the upside down terra cotta pots. I would put a dob of glue on the pinecones while they put their beads on the dobs of glue.
It was a blast! I try to do an art project with them at least twice a month on a Saturday. It's great because we like to create things, and we get to spend time together.

Santa Clause & My Cuties

Jocelyn wants a Baby w/Stoller
Hailey want Baby Alive
(the one that goes potty and washes her hands)

London wants a Barbie Cruise Ship
and Art Supplies

Brooklyn wants a Digital Camera
and a Persian Cat Webkins

We went to go see Santa today!! The best part was the hot chocolate and the yummy glazed donuts. Santa handed out cute little cups with paper lined in the inside so the kids could color and decorate their own cup. Oh what fun they had!! They also loved all of the snow that fell this morning..........until they realized that snow melts. They came inside and warmed up in a steaming hot bath. That's the best when it is FREEZING COLD outside.

My Halarious Hailey

Hailey is really creative and likes to PRETEND all day long. We had some neighbors that are muslim, and the mother (Radwa) covers her head like muslim women do. Well, on this particular day Hailey came out of her room dressed up and said, "Hi Mom, I'm Radwa" so ever since then the kids play the dress up game "RADWA". It is halarious!!!!

Halloween

I will have to post the pictures of Hailey and Jocelyn later, because my battery died on my camera.

Brooklyn: Devil

London: Rodeo Queen

Hailey: An Expecting Mother (halarious)

Jocelyn: Pink Leopard

We had such a fun time this Halloween. We went to Matt's hometown American Fork. We went trick or treating downtown with Jane (Matt's sister) and her kids. At the Senior Citizens Center they took a group picture of all of the cousins together. So........I actually do have a picture of the other 2 kids. I will post it when I get it the picture.

After some trick or treating we went to Grandma Holley's (Matt's Mom) for some yummy homemade chili.

Then off we went to Great Grandma Siddoways (Matt's Grandma) to trunk or treat in her neighborhood. Her neighbors had a SPOOK ALLY (kid friendly) that went through 5 peoples backyards. It was a blast. Especially at the end when a huge fake spider came out of one of the house windows on Holley's head

We slept at Matt's parents house and in the morning they watched the kids so we could go to the Mount Timp Temple. It was gorgeous! I had never been in it before.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

My friend made me the BEST cookies in the whole wide world........thanks Marci!
1 Box of Spice cake mix
1 29 oz can of pumpkin
Chocolate chips.

Preheat oven to 350 and bake them for 8-10 minutes.

This is actually a recipe from Weight Watchers so you can pretend like they are GOOD for you.
I prefer milk chocolate chips more than semi sweet. These are super moist and nummy!!!!

Living in SLC, Utah

We moved to SLC, Utah on July 1st. We like it here so far, and the kids seem to have adjusted pretty well. Matt is getting his degree at the University of Utah. I am working part-time for the U of U cleaning the East Community Center. I like it because I usually go when the CHILLIN's are all in bed. Above is a picture of all of them when we had just moved in. It is kind of goofy. Oh well!!
