Missin' Matt
I guess I decided to do a post about my husband, Matt because I miss him. I'm actually waiting for him to get home. He got done with a 12 hour shift, and left at 6 pm to come home. As you all probably know we live in SLC, and Matt works in Hurricane. I have mixed feelings about him working far away, and leaving for days at a time. I would love for him to just quit working for Wash. County Sheriff Office. I feel like he can't let go completely, and accept that we moved to SLC. Every time he goes down to work they beg him to go to school at SUU, and come back to work full time. They have been asking him to come back for a year now. I am pretty sure that they will still want him back in a year when he is done with school, and if not, he'll have a degree.....maybe he'll use it. Although I would like him to quit, and just get a job up here, I understand his reasons for hanging on to this job. He only has to work one weekend a month to maintain employment with them (which is great for when he is going to school). He can work full time in the summer. It's pay is pretty darn good..........minus the gas money to get clear down there. If he doesn't get a job right after he graduates he has a job still. It bothers me when people ask me why he travels so far to work, and why doesn't he just get a job where we live. Ha....I ask myself these questions and most of the time don't have any answers myself. I know that Matt is doing what he feels is best for our family. He is such a hard worker and I love him for being such a good husband and dad. I miss him so much!!! I can't wait to see him.......wooohoooo!!!!

Lesson Learned
It has been bothering me lately that I think everyone has it better than me, and these perfect people don't have any struggles in life. Does it really come natural for some people? Perfectly clean house, clean kids without messy faces, hair and make-up all done up.....and the list goes on. I swear I'm the only mother in this world that doesn't have it together. I end up realizing that other mothers stuggle too..........everyday, but I don't know why I can't remember that. Which is why I'm glad that I decided not to keep to myself anymore and go out and make new friends with my neighbor girls. It's the best thing I have done for myself. I thought they wouldn't want to be friends with the girl that had 4 kids because a lot of them only have one or two young kids. In a way I thought they had judged me before they knew me. I always hold everyone so high above me.....on a pedestool! The thing is I have learned this lesson in life already, and I know that everyone has their insecurities. I just hope that I don't forget for a long time so I can continue to be myself around the new people that I meet. It's hard coming out of my shell, but when I do you can't shut me up.
